Levels & participation
Do you need to have prior experience in shooting or self-defense?
No. Our events are open to women of all levels, from beginners to experienced.
I've never shot. Can I participate?
Yes. We offer formats adapted for discovery, with progressive and reassuring guidance.
Are there any events for advanced levels?
Yes. Some events are designed for those who wish to improve their technical skills.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
In Switzerland, the minimum legal age for shooting is 11 years old, provided that one is accompanied by an adult.
Regarding Aconit workshops and events, the participation of individuals under 18 years of age is considered on a case-by-case basis. This approach allows us to guarantee a suitable environment, as well as the safety and educational coherence of the group.
Our priority remains to ensure a safe environment and harmonious progress for all participants.
May I come accompanied by a man?
Yes.
For courses organised over several days, one day will be open to accompanying persons.
This allows you to share your common passion and progress together.
Aconit is primarily designed for women, but we also want to include your loved ones when possible.
Safety & supervision
Is security regulated?
Absolutely. Security is non-negotiable and at the heart of every event. Protocols are strictly followed.
Who is in charge of organizing the events?
Qualified and experienced instructors, recognized for their professionalism and teaching skills.
Men may occasionally be part of the technical management team, in accordance with the spirit and values of Aconit.
Required attire & equipment
What attire is required at shooting events?
Appropriate attire for the booth is mandatory. This includes long trousers, closed shoes, and a covering top with a sufficiently high collar.
Low-cut necklines and V-necks should be avoided, and crop tops are strongly discouraged, as the hot sockets can cause burns. Adequate protection is essential for your safety and comfort.
A peaked cap is recommended for added protection. We also advise wearing trousers with belt loops to properly secure the equipment.
Wearing safety glasses and hearing protection is mandatory. The hearing protection does not need to be electronic. If you do not have any, the shooting range can provide them.
What should I wear for medical internships?
For medical internships, it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and a pair of closed shoes.
We recommend bringing a sports bra and shorts as underwear. During practical exercises, provided clothing will be cut up to simulate realistic care situations. You may therefore be partially undressed in a strictly professional and respectful environment.
All simulations take place in a supervised, supportive environment that complies with rules of respect and safety.
What should I wear for combat/self-defense training courses?
For combat and self-defense training, comfortable clothing that allows for movement is recommended. Opt for flexible, breathable, and durable garments, as well as closed-toe shoes suitable for the activity (or as specified by the event).
A sports bra is highly recommended to ensure support and comfort during exercise.
Avoid jewelry, watches or accessories that may interfere with the activity or present a risk.
The goal is to be able to move freely, safely, within a structured and respectful environment.

What is Aconite?
Aconit is a Swiss, multilingual community offering shooting events, self-defense and medical training courses, in a professional and safe environment, designed by and for women.
We have many other ideas and look forward to hearing yours!
Why a setting 100% reserved for women?
Because certain dynamics, questions, and realities are specific to women, Aconit offers a space to grow without pressure, without intimidation, and with shared understanding.
It should be noted that men may occasionally be part of the technical management team, in accordance with the spirit and values of Aconit.
Is this a typical training center?
No. Aconit organizes events designed to help you progress, discover and share, in a safe and structured environment.
At each event, an exceptional speaker is invited to share her journey and methodology, to offer an inspiring and concrete vision of the discipline.
Who is behind Aconit?
Aconit is first and foremost a group of passionate women, trained wherever they could.
We have traveled, spent significant sums to learn and sought out the best information, whether in terms of equipment or methodology, so that we can pass it on in turn today.
We have experienced obstacles that some will recognize: equipment that is poorly (or not at all) adapted, environments that are sometimes not very inclusive, and a silent but very real pressure.
Rather than giving up, we chose to learn, to assert ourselves and to master our practice.
Aconite was born from this experience.
We wanted to create a space to bring more women into shooting, self-defense and medical training, in order to develop their confidence, but also their skills.
Because we consider this essential.
Every woman deserves to feel comfortable in the discipline she chooses, to be able to practice it and share it with her spouse, a friend or anyone else - feeling legitimate, competent and capable.
